Become a Corporate Sponsor for P.A.W.S.

Are you a company in Bergen or Passaic County?  P.A.W.S. is looking for corporate sponsors who are compassionate about helping animals here in our towns.  Your tax-deductable corporate donation will aid P.A.W.S. in the rescue and adoption of affectionate animals who simply need to find a good home.  Some of these animals have been abandoned, give-up by owners or they are located at area shelters with only a few days left to live.   At P.A.W.s. we believe every gentle, kind, adoptable animal should be given a fighting chance.

Read our inspirational stories about rescue and adoption and make a donation that will save an innocent life!

Abandoned Dog Rescued

April 2, 2008 P.A.W.S. received a call reporting a sweet pit bull that was abandoned and had been living in a junk car for about four days.  The caller had given the dog some food the night before.  The P.A.W.S. team went into action.  With the help of Animal Control the dog was rescued the same day and given a temporary home with a foster family.

If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact Steve at 201-456-6542 or write to us at pawsofparamus@gmail.com

Joey and Gavin DeGraw Save a Stray Pup!

Singer/songwriter and animal lover Joey DeGraw passed this story along to us.  Here’s how TMZ covered it!

Where would helpless pups be without Gavin DeGraw? The musician was in L.A. last week promoting his new single, when a TMZ spy spotted him saving a stray dog. Aw!
After seeing that the deserted pup was not doing too well, we’re told Gavin and his brother Joey went into rescue mode. According to Gavin’s dad, “Gavin and Joey took the stray to the vet in their car, and shared in the costs for medical care. They arranged a new home for the dog with a friend’s dad.”

Never mind the rabies, a dog’s life was on the line!

Injured Cat and Kittens Rescued

P.A.W.S. member Joan Martucci found an injured mother cat lying in the middle of the road near her business in Wyckoff.  The badly injured cat couldn’t move and appeared to have been hit by a car.  With the help of Animal Control the cat was brought to a local vet and treated.  P.A.W.S. covered the bill.  The cat went home with Martucci, who nursed her back to heath.  Knowing that this Mommy cat had become separated from her litter, P.A.W.S. members and Wyckoff business owners began searching for the kittens.  About two weeks later they were found and rushed to the Cameron Animal Hospital in Montclair, where they were treated free of charge.  All of the kittens survived and were later reunited with Mom, who was desperate to see her babies.  Thanks to the work of P.A.W.S., several of the kittens have found homes and one kitten and Mom are at home with Martucci.

Make a donation today and help animals in need!

The Paramus Animal Welfare Society needs your help!

P.A.W.S. is a dedicated group of volunteers who rescue abandoned dogs and cats in need and cover all vet bills, rehabilitation and the adoption process.  P.A.W.S. also works with the local shelters to save some of the animals about to be euthanized.  Some of these are beautiful, adoptable dogs and cats whose time at the shelter has run out.  A P.A.W.S. member will foster the animal or even pay for boarding if necessary.

Your donation makes a difference…Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned animals, and help them find a loving home.
